Mecklenburg County is the urban core of the Charlotte metro and the largest North Carolina county by parcel count. Built from publicly available county tax records via NC OneMap. This report maps 423,190 parcels into 4,177 ownership concentration clusters using publicly available county tax records, including Charlotte, Cornelius, Davidson, Huntersville, Matthews, Mint Hill, and Pineville. North Carolina assesses every parcel at 100% of true (market) value per NCGS §105-283 — no assessment-to-market multiplier is applied.
Largest NC county by parcels. 423,190 Mecklenburg parcels make Charlotte the second-largest single-county dataset in the catalog after Harris County, Texas. 4,177 ownership concentration clusters with $62.62B clustered value.
Banking-capital RA density. Charlotte's Uptown contains a high density of registered-agent and law-firm addresses (401 N Tryon, 525 N Tryon, 227 W Trade). These addresses are pre-loaded in the virtual-office filter and excluded from the cluster roster.
Standard tier — sale_price absent. The NC OneMap statewide parcels feed (the canonical Mecklenburg source) does not expose individual sale prices; Mecklenburg is priced Standard ($699) rather than Premium for that reason. Cluster identification, entity rosters, and value aggregation are unaffected.
Pairs with Guilford for the Carolina Piedmont. Charlotte operators frequently extend along the I-85 Piedmont corridor into Greensboro (Guilford). The NC Statewide 6-County Bundle covers Charlotte plus the Triad and Triangle metros.
